The last troops (except for the embassy guard) left Iraq today and I have been watching, listening and reading about the event all day. People keep asking whether it was worth the cost.
*Almost 5,000 talented young Americans died in the Iraq War.
*The war cost about $1 Trillion.
*About 35,000 Americans have serious wounds (a lot of lost limbs) that they will live with forever.
*Something over 100,000 Iraqis died. No one knows exactly how many died.
So here is my question. Why is it that no one calls it by its rightful name?
