You know that the Social Security program can be fully financed for as far into the future as anyone can see, by simply removing the income cap. A very small, but growing, group of people are beginning to say that fact out loud.
But there is another thing about Social Security that should be recognized. IT WORKS!!
Fifty years ago, the nightly news showed film from Florida, and other places, of old people with shopping carts full of dog food because that was all they could afford to eat.
You don't see that picture these days because only a very few older people are living in poverty now.
So remember, we need to fix Social Security by removing the cap because Social Security WORKS!
How many other government programs can you say that about?
