A Question Of Considerable Importance!!!

The front page of US Today had this headline story last week.  It began like this........

STATES EXPAND LUCRATIVE PENSIONS

"Special retirement benefits once reserved for police, firefighters and others with dangerous jobs are now being given to tens of thousands of state workers, employed as park rangers, foresters, dispatchers, coroners, even highway laborers, museum guards and life guards.  The trend will add heavily to the $70 billion that state taxpayers owe state pension funds........................."

And here are three examples.

"California forester; can retire at age 50, annual pension $64,206.  If retires at age 50, total pension at 80 is $1.9 million."

"Ohio wildlife officer, can retire at age 52 after 25 years on the job, Annual pension $49,117.  If retires at age 62, total pension by 80 is $1.4 million."

"New Jersey tax agent can retire after 20 years or at age 55, annual pension $52,465.  If retires at age 50, total pension at 80 is $1.6 million."

The question is ARE WE GREECE YET????
