As the Republicans threaten to bankrupt the country, and maybe the world. because they claim taxes are too high, here are a couple of numbers to bear in mind.
1) Last year, there were 105,000 U.S. household with Adjusted Gross Incomes of $211,000 or more who paid ZERO income taxes. That' right, not one penny.
2) 67% of all U.S. corporations last year paid ZERO income taxes. GE and Wells Fargo did even better since they didn't pay taxes and still got a refund from of the government in the millions of dollars.
Now who exactly is it who is paying too much taxes?
