Food Stamps

Here are some things you should know about the Food Stamp program.
*Half of those receiving food stamps are children
*About 8% are elderly.
*86% of the families receiving food stamps have incomes below the poverty line.
*41% of the families have only half of the poverty level of income.
*18% have no income whatsoever.
*The average family receiving food stamps has less than $101 in savings or valuables.

These are the people that the Republicans in Congress want to help balance the budget while their millionaire/billionaire pals get increasingly rich.  They want them to give up Medicare and Medicad, and all other government support because they don't pay income taxes.  Is this a bad joke??

This is becoming an increasingly strange country.
