One in ten of every home mortgages in the U.S. is now at least one payment late and therefore in danger of foreclosure.
For the first time ever, the number of paid TV subscriptions, i. e., cable, satellite, etc. has shrunk as people have minimized their household expenditures.
One and One Quarter Trillion Dollars have been pumped into the economy by the Federal Reserve Bank. Remember the definition of Inflation: Too many dollars chasing the same amount of goods and services.
And the Administration and Congress have no clue about what to do next!! That is the really scaring part.
In The Great Recession Conspiracy*, we explained that the government should take the TARP funds, which for the most part have been repaid, and turn it into a fund to repair the infrastructure of the U.S.. We should give the money to U.S. mayors and state highway departments on a first come, first serve basis. This would create millions of jobs immediately, thus pumping money into the economy on a wide spread basis, and would end unemployment expenditures. The government gets more income, both at the federal and state level, and reduces welfare payments. But most importantly, it puts spending money in the budgets of households across the country so they can resume spending and small businesses sales can grow again.
And the best part is that all of those repairs will have to be paid for sooner or later. It is a win-win solution, but nobody in Washington is interested because they would have to give up controlling everything from Washington.
And what can you do about it? The answer can be found at www.fixcongressfirst.org. See for yourself.
