The goofball economist, Ben Stein, has pointed out that if you want to understand the money, you have to follow the money.
One percent (1%) of Americans are millionaires, but forty-four percent (44%) of the Congress are millionaires. Fifty (50) of them were worth more than $10 million.
What I would like to see is a study of how many senators became millionaires AFTER they were elected to the Congress. Since income and net worth have to be reported every year, it wouldn't be difficult to obtain the data.
