Remember This Graph?

The U.S. has one of the worst high school drop out rates of any developed country. About one third of all high school students fail to graduate. Now look at that graph again.

And then remember that illiteracy among American adults is close to 50%.

We have huge problem that no one wants to talk about and that is we are losing our competitive advantage in a world where brains are much more important than brawn.

Now go back and read the stuff about the two tier economy. We are developing a new class of permanently unemployed males, and that will lead to increases in welfare payments, more crime and more unstable families where the next generation of kids drop out of high school, just to name a few problems that are coming.

Does anybody have any ideas about how we can get Congress and the Cowardly Lion to pay attention to this very real and very fundamental problem?

That is what the comment section is for.
