Why Can't Politicians Simply Tell The Truth Once In Awhile????

Last night, someone asked whether the Energy Department was controlling the price of gasoline.  Neither candidate came even close to telling the truth.

The truth, and it is widely known, is that the price of gasoline is set by the world market and there isn't a damn thing any president can do about it.

Such a simple truth.  Why is it so hard to speak?
