With all the blah, blah about over paid, over privileged public employees, you should know these facts.
1) When total government employees compensation is compared with total private employees compensation, public employees are paid more, no question.
2) When that comparison is done using educational equivalents, there is no real difference between public and private employees.
3) But when that comparison is done using education and experience combined, private employees are WAY ahead.
I don't think that analysis includes California Prison Guards. That band of legal criminals retire at 50 with retirement pay of $100,000+. Mind you this job requires a full high school diploma.
